[INFOGRAPHIC BELOW – KEEP SCROLLING!]
It's getting to be that time of year. The air is crisp, the leaves are falling. Football is starting, baseball is wrapping up. People are wearing flannel again, and drinking ridiculous pumpkin flavored concoctions. Oh yes! It means only one thing:
It's deer mating season.
Yep. The proper term is called "rutting", and it's that wonderful season when young bucks do ridiculous things in pursuit of attractive young does. Like, say, running out in front of traffic. In north central Ohio, you're in for a special treat. We're privileged to host some of the highest deer-related vehicle accident rates in the country. As with most awesome things, with great privilege comes great responsibility. Your responsibility, fellow Ohioan, is that you better have a good auto body repair shop.
Deer-related accidents aren't just reindeer games, they're the real deal. On average, they'll set you back nearly $3,500 in repairs when Bambi's cousin comes trotting out in front of your swagger wagon on a county road this fall. So before you send your young buck out for a drive, it might be worth educating them on the dangers of deer, and how to prep and deal with them out on the road.
Lucky for you, we've broken down all things fawn, in hopes that you won't be needing collision repair anytime soon. But, if you do, don't worry, we're happy to help out. We've helped thousands of Ohio residents repair antler damage and beyond to their vehicles, and get them back on the road. In fact, we've even created this fancy infographic to help you out. Wondering where your county ranks on the "Deer Danger Zone"? Check it below. If you found it interesting or helpful, feel free to share, and be careful out there. You never know who's in the mood for…fall.
